It is so hard to believe that it is almost Christmas!! A whole near year is merely weeks away but yet it feels like only yesterday that we were all celebrating New Years together at the armory. On one hand it is a little sad, on another I can not wait to see what 2009 will bring. This has been one heck of a year for sure! I have friends who have married or settled down with someone special, my Dad had a very close call with a heart attack, some of us have lost people in our lives, some have moved on to other things, a couple beautiful new babies were born and I continue to do fixing on myself. Micah is doing great in school and at home. Staying busy with lots of things. Tessa made it back this year...GRRR. (In case you didn't know Tessa is one of Santa's elves that comes to stay with us through Christmas.) I have a feeling this is the final year of Santa and elves. I used to think the magic was almost gone but really it's not. I can just see it in other things now. Things with me have changed a lot in some ways but in others stayed the same. I still have the anxiousness of not being where I am supposed to be, but I am working to try and enjoy the road to getting wherever that is instead of rushing it and missing out along the way. Still alone, but only relationship wise. I have really found out lately who my true friends are. I have some good ones. The other will come when the time is right (although I still hate hearing it!) I am ready now. But good things come to those who wait. And the life that I want for me and Micah is one that I am willing to wait for in order to get the best :) But it still isn't easy LOL
Ash and Aaron didn't make it down for pre~Thanksgiving which was a little sad but understandable since he was having his appendix taken out. We did instead get to have three of his sisters here for the weekend and we had a great time with all of them. And then to our surprise they not only got to come for the real Thanksgiving BUT they came with their friends Jenny and Tim and their four amazing little girls. They were so much fun to play with. Friday we went shopping with Mom and Jenny, Ash, Les and B and had a great time while the boys stayed home with the kids and build this giant slingshot off the back of the house. It was so much fun. In one weekend we managed to cram in a ridiculous amount of food, shopping, shooting, fireworks, bonfires, paintball wars and four wheeler riding. I really hope that they all get to come back soon. The first weekend of December came, what I guess I could call my black weekend because it is insanely busy for me. First we had final rehearsals for the play, then the Christmas parade where I was a little sad because Ash was not there to ride the back of the firetruck with me :( then I had opening night of It's a Wonderful Life, which was live on the radio...no pressure right? Then the Cast Party, lots of fun as always. Then the Tour of Homes and reception and the closing of It's A Wonderful Life. And finally....the collapse. It was a lot of fun but of course a lot of work.
